No one will play with me poor bella dog! lol

Ok onto donnatello. Not sure if you heard the story of her arrival so here goes.

John  and I were out in the gardens back in august we had a few plants to plant. The garden never ends! And unfortunately as we were digging we hit an egg.  Yes it stopped all work.

John  immediately assumed we killed whatever was in the egg, and I was looking at it and saw movement! Anyone that knows me, knows I have the kindest heart in the world, and wish no bad on anyone or anything. As soon as I saw movement I became excited and John of course believing the way I do, that everything deserves a chance to live, went and got a box.

We added soil from around his home spot, and then carefully lifted our friend into the box. He must be a little traumatized having a birth that way! No coming out of his shell slowly instead a sharp shovel banging into it and ripping it open. Yes I think traumatized is a good word. As we lifted him we noticed that part of the shell and what looks like an umbilical cord is still attached to him, this too we left alone. Not wanting to cause it any further stress.

I carried him into the house and put him in a safe place away from the cat.

Returning back outside and anxiously asking John if it will live (we really don't know) for at this point we saw very little movement. I sigh and hope and go back into the house and look into his little makeshift home and his head was poking out and he was looking around!!!!!!!

day one in his lil box

Well you would have thought I had given birth for I dash back outside yelling for John to come look, into the house He runs peeking into the box to see our new addition looking around at the world before him. I think even John was a little amazed.  We did not name him (turns out she is a she yet for fear she would die)

Day 2 - We think he is going to love we moved him into a little bigger home out of the box and with some water. Picture at day two

OK this one is not very clear but after some research we found out that she was a she and not a he, and she needed to eat.  She been with us about a week and still no food intake. I researched and studied and here I am holding her between my fingers using a pair of tweezers and dropping blood worms into her mouth. Within a week she began to eat on her own. We were thrilled to say the least!

Here she in Nov. Getting a little bigger.

And here she is two days ago.

Now isn't she the cutest thing you ever saw?? And can you believe that I kept her alive!  She is now part of the family.

Ok last pictures
